Annual Luncheon Celebrates 30 Years of Trail Advocacy
Perhaps nothing has made us more aware of the need for, and more appreciative of, our public trails to keep us mentally and physically healthy quite like the pandemic. What many Hoosiers may not know is that an all-volunteer organization has been helping to grow and maintain these multi-use trails in Indiana for the past thirty years—and how many additional projects are underway in the state right now, due to their advocacy and grant making on trail projects.
The Greenways Foundation would like to share that good news and encourage more Hoosiers to get involved. The organization is hosting their annual luncheon virtually this year on Thursday, April 29th from Noon – 1pm Eastern time. Tickets, which support the work of the organization, start at $50.
In addition to sharing state-wide progress on trails and grant recipient projects, the organization will present the Indiana Greenways Foundation Awards to individuals, organizations, communities, corporations, and projects that have exhibited outstanding excellence in advancing greenways or multi-use trail development throughout Indiana.
